Frequently asked questions
What happens in the first session?
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re currently experiencing, and what you hope to get out of the process. I may ask questions about your background, relationships, and history to better understand the full picture of your life.
There’s no pressure to share everything right away. You’re welcome to move at your own pace. This is your space. By the end of the session, we’ll begin to outline goals and discuss what working together could look like.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. You can reach out via the contact form or email to schedule a consultation or first session. From there, we’ll find a time that works for you and begin the process.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, and United Healthcare. For clients using insurance, fees are determined by your plan's copay or coinsurance. For those paying out of pocket, the self-pay rate is $175 per session.
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. You may get a sense of fit through our consultation or first session: feeling safe, understood, and comfortable is key. If at any point it doesn’t feel like the right match, I’m happy to provide referrals to help you find someone who better fits your needs.
