The philosophy
Real Change, Not Just Coping
Many people come to therapy after years of pushing through, managing stress alone, feeling stuck in patterns they can't break, or carrying something heavy they've never fully addressed.
I work with individuals, teens, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions. My approach is direct, evidence-based, and tailored to you, focused on getting to the root of what's keeping you stuck and actually changing it.
What Makes This Practice Different
Root Causes, Not Just Symptoms: I help you understand what's actually driving your patterns , then build real tools to change them.
Evidence-Based, Body-Informed: My work draws from EMDR, somatic techniques, and CBT, applied in ways that are relevant to your daily life , not just your time in session.
Collaborative and Direct: Therapy is a partnership. I work with you to identify what isn't working, set clear goals, and move toward them with intention.
Trauma-Informed: Whether trauma is your primary concern or part of a larger picture, my approach is always sensitive to how past experiences shape present patterns.
Built for Real Life: The goal isn't just insight, it's better functioning in your relationships, your work, and your everyday life.
About
Amelie Fery, LMFT #142758
Before becoming a therapist, Amelie spent nearly two decades teaching yoga, breathwork, and deep relaxation, experiences that continue to shape how she understands healing and nervous system regulation.
She works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, with a particular focus on trauma, anxiety, and ADHD, areas she sees as deeply interconnected. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, she helps clients understand and address the patterns underneath them.
Her background includes community mental health, where she worked in addiction treatment, court-mandated programs, and trauma-informed care.
As a parent herself, she brings particular empathy to working with teenagers and families navigating the challenges of adolescence, especially for neurodivergent youth.
Amelie offers therapy in English, Spanish, and French, and brings a multicultural perspective shaped by living and working across diverse communities.
She strives to create a space where clients feel understood, respected, and safe to be themselves.
